Dust
A former Victorian factory, Dust's origins are literally plastered all over its brick walls and original cast-iron support beams. The opening hours are less Victorian, with a 4am licence throughout the week, attractive to socialites who like to party late, continental stylee. Couches beckon you over for a flop, if dusting off your inhibitions to the sound of resident live DJs gets too much. The atmosphere here is jubilant but rarely overcrowded, with the top floor (available for hire) catering for 100. Shockingly, Dust's doormen actually smile. Perhaps they're relics from a happier past too? Charlotte Browne
