Shakespeare's Globe Theatre
Can you get better than witty wordplay about codpieces, cuckolds and royal coups? Is there anything more thrilling than a double-crossing, cross-dressing plot of mistaken identities with a little accidental incest thrown in for good measure? No, we're not talking about Hollyoaks, this is drama of a higher class – Shakespeare, darlings, and if the great works of the Bard are your cup of mead, you'll love the authentic surrounds of the reconstructed Globe Theatre, with its magical, fairylit balconies. If you're not so keen, take some rotten fruit and hang out in the ye-olde forefather of the mosh-pit, getting wet with the other groundlings
