Cafe 1001
We've been walking past Café 1001 for years thinking it was just a flapjack and carrot juice vendor. What fools we are. On closer inspection, this is a bar/club behemoth and a brilliantly casual one at that. Manic DJs spin house, disco, breaks, electronica, you name it in the back room, interspersed with the occasional live music night, while the chilled-out, three-part bar (upstairs, downstairs or out the front) is prime for some well-cushioned flopping and swilling back Red Stripe from the can. Look, we never said we were classy.
