Cafe Z
Packed with types that probably looked much better the night before when they were being photographed at a Vice party, Café Z is the budget eatery of choice for Dalston's expanding arts community. No wonder – it's a diamond, with a racy mix of fine Turkish dishes alongside standard English hangover fare. It's the only place where scrambled egg and minced lamb (in the house special Sahanda Yumurta) makes sense. It gets pretty rammed, so skip Hollyoaks and get there early.
