The Borderline
It may remind you of the Wild West zone at a dilapidated theme-park, but being part of the Mean Fiddler family (albeit the runt of the litter) means The Borderline actually pulls the odd decent headliner. It's a good gig space, with two different levels so you can still see the acts when you're at the bar. Line-ups range from homophonic, indie four-pieces, to kooky one-off acts and a few whiney guitarists thrown in for the girls. At five or six quid a ticket, it's worth it, if only to check out the array of tattoos on display.
