The Bull and Gate

If this pub was human, it would be a conjoined twin of Barbara Windsor (in the Carry On days, before gravity gave everything a vicious yank) and Beth Ditto. A lovely little boozer at the front and a substantial, dirgy, but undeniably cool live music venue out the back. Both Keane and Coldplay played here before they got famous, but don't hold that against the place – the current line up is a varied mix of up-and-coming punk, rock and folk acts, who no doubt you'll buy a CD from and then wish you hadn't.
