Vijay's Chawalla
It feels like a different country walking down Green Street and into Vijay's, and when you're coming for Indian food that's probably how it should be. As you pour water into the prison-ready steel beakers, it's clear that this place is different from any sanitised Taj Mahal lookalike you've tried before. The food hails from southern India and is entirely vegetarian, a double unfamiliarity that means you're eating for your education. You won't find any chicken tikka masalas around here, just authentic Indian dishes.
