Vesbar
When Tina Arena belted out 'Chains' her mind was clearly on the drinking establishments in this bit of London. Vesbar is one of the few independents, but still has that tried-and-tested-formula feel to it. Cocktails, sharing platters and squidgy sofas abound at not-too-shocking prices and the music moves to funky house as the night wears on, which can never be a bad thing. Vesbar pays lip-service to the idea of a funky hangout – a bit like a two-bob hooker, it lacks imagination but it does the job.
