The Angel
The Angel isn't exactly heaven, but it's easier to get into and the prices are divine. Finding your way out again can be a bit trickier, as the layout is pretty baffling, even before you've had a few. Hidden entrances and tables in the garage all add to its charm, as does the bizarre mix of clientele – from the fresh faces and floppy fringes to the decidedly more mature, whose claws have fused permanently with their tankard and who've probably been drinking there since that wallpaper was in vogue the first time round.
