Bakko
Highgate tube, then 43/134 bus. Tether up your camel, roll up your sleeves and tuck in to some Turkish delights. A bit of a trek if you're not from the local area but worth a visit if you feel like going off the tourist-trampled track. Serving traditional and hearty feeds at fairly honest prices, Bakko makes the kebab shop look like a culinary atrocity, shock horror. The lamb cutlets come highly recommended and the place is one of a few that was 100% non-smoking long before the ban.
