Hayward Gallery
Sitting on the south bank of the Thames, between the National Theatre and the Royal Festival Hall, it makes a great stop on your tour of all things arty. It was opened by the Queen in 1968 and remains a bit of an icon of sixties brutalist architecture. The colours in the big neon tower, currently being refurbished, are activated by changes in the strength and direction of the wind. But no, blowing on it won't help.
