The Railway
A landmark pub with its giant metal fish bolted to the outside, The Railway sits right on Clapham High Street and has a roomy feel. Although sometimes lacking in atmosphere it does serve some decent Thai food, plus an interesting line in ciders. And yes, we all know cider drinking has a certain stigma attached, but these brews are of the rare, French and appley variety rather than the 79p scooter fuel type. Also, the place is right by the railway station, so after all that boozy juice you can totter off home with the minimum of fuss.
