New Tayyabs

Brick Lane missions are a bit hit and miss; sometimes they can be legendary, but very often they can be a tad disappointing, even if they are cheaper than our puns. So you might do well to wander on down to the boho surroundings of Whitechapel and try the rather fragrant Tayyabs. It may sound like a Welsh word for loutish children but the food is proper Punjabi and utterly divine. Daily specials offer a cornucopia of spicy dishes - Sunday's tinda masala being particularly worth leaving the house for. Curry with class.
