Old Queen's Head
The Old Queen's Head has had quite a year of it. They've not only had a huge makeover, they've also become a DJ pub (DJ bars are so 2006, darling, now it's all about comfy pubs hosting the kind of DJs you usually have to pay club prices to see), which basically means that you've now got to pay three quid to get past the doorman at weekends. Still, the place hosts the likes of the Plump DJs and Joe Ransom for next to nothing, which is good news for anyone who doesn't fancy joining the crush on Fabric's dancefloor.
