Café de Hong Kong

It's brash, it's bright and it's brilliant value, even if they don't offer the speediest or friendliest service. The portions here are wonderfully generous and of freshly prepared, but don't ask for any alterations to the menu or you risk being strung up with the tormented-looking ducks above the cookers. This is a café that is loud and cheap (though not particularly cheerful), and for a late-night snack it sure beats 'meat and chips' from a greasy kebab shop round a windy street corner.
