Volupte

Volupte is the new girl on the burlesque scene –she's seriously sexy, and she knows it. What with the Vivienne Westwood shoes casually strewn around, and the golden flowers and velvet fabric that adorn the walls, this is possibly the most stylish burlesque venue in town. The bar upstairs is sophisticated and saucy, and they've got a small but perfectly formed cocktail list. Downstairs is a decadent den, where dinner is served and burlesque acts perform. You'll also find crazy grotto–like nooks and crannies decorated with Moulin Rouge and Garden of Eden graffiti, where couples who need a spot of privacy can find a secluded table for two. Who could ask for anything more? Entertainment comes in the form of can–can girls, cabaret performances and jazz acts. Although newly opened Volupte has already hosted the dissolute jazz singer Lianne Carroll and the frou–frou antics of The Flash Monkeys all in that 'anything goes' burlesque spirit.
