Penang Satay House

This North London mini–chain is rammed any night of the week with a fiercely loyal crowd of regulars. Eat here more than a couple of times though, and you'll feel like one of them –it's a welcoming kind of place. Food is Malay in style with decent satays and laskas. Make sure you try gadoh gadoh: a delicious Malay salad with prawns and peanuts. Décor wise it's like a gap year student's bedroom, all multicoloured sarongs and budget minimalism. Psuedo–intellectual spiritual warblings are thankfully not included. For those too ugly/famous/hungover to be seen in public, they do takeaway too.
