Royal Albert, The

Be warned: it may take a while to find, but once you're in here you'll never get away –the stingy student in you just won't let you turn down such bargainous drinking. A pub frequented only by in-the-know locals, this is a definite South London drinking tip for 2004 thanks to the outrageously cheap quality booze, officially 'secret' beer garden with its impromptu barbecues and the hidden pool room where there's always a table free.
