The Elk offers a hotch-potch of décor styles that somehow works, breakfast dishes and spot on snacky food – platters, salads, taleggio cheese on toast, burgers - to a loyal crowd. It's waiter service so you don't have to get off your arse for anything and the vibe is chilled. This makes it far too easy to keep ordering wine like you're Fiddy representin' with his peeps. Pop a Valium in the toilets and whisper a prayer to Mint Card under your breath before you ask for the bill.
