Curry-by-numbers classy chain style. Are you with us or shall we elaborate? Ok then. Masala Zone Soho - there's another in Islington - dishes up well-prepared Indian food in a canteen-style setting. The menu spans the nation with plenty of focus on Southern Indian thalis and a few anglo touches. Punters are trendy-ish types who didn't get round to going when it first opened and wayward tourists looking jolly pleased with themselves. And so they should: ignore the plastic-wrapped chainy feel and you've struck gold with this restaurant. Not at all bad for W1.
