A long-stemmed Champagne glass throw from The Ivy, you'd think this place would function under an almighty shadow of doom. Fair play, The Ivy remains the eaterie du jour for London's celebrity scene but West Street is holding its own. They've done away with the pizza brasserie bit - it probably didn't go down well with the fancy clientele knowing that any old riff-raff could drop in for an al funghi - sticking with modern British swank all the way. One to impress with plus you'll be able to book without having to plan three months in advance.
