It's so close to the tube that you could launch that wannabe goth in the queue right back down into the subway (with the help of a lucky deflection) and take their place before anybody notices. And this might be a good idea as you'd be more likely to slide in there and see one of the many excellent bands who play the Astoria, or get into their legendary GAY night, if that's your scene. Check out the listings well in advance as most gigs and nights sell out weeks and months before you'd otherwise think about it.
