A bit of a trek from Brixton centralis, but well worth the walk, especially in the summer for the vast beer garden. What with the bona-fide rustic wooden seating, free entry, 2am licence and booming sound system, you could almost imagine you're at Glastonbury... Almost. The back bar or conservatory hosts a variety of arty events from stand-up comedy and spoken-word to salsa. Full-on festival feeling and best of all, no-ones peddling you patchouli oil. Don't miss the excellent ska and dub-reggae DJ on a Sunday night, a gentle lull into Monday morning.
