The world of juice is a complicated one. Pomegranate juice takes itself way too seriously, cranberry juice is pretty much over now, and Itchy's recent attempts at juicing our shoes have been deeply unsuccessful.
Fortunately, just in time for Christmas, there's a new delicious fruity concoction to add to your yuletide vodka. Or, indeed, to start off your morning with a vitamin hit before moving on to naughtier things. Welcome Cherrygood, the UK's first ready-to-drink cherry juice drink.
Especially good news is that you can mix Cherrygood up with any number of delicious spirits for some pretty special cocktails. Here's a wee idea to get you going:
Michigan Impossible
Ingredients: 2 measures whisky, 4 measures Cherrygood, 1 measure freshly squeezed lime juice, 1 measure sugar syrup, 2 measures lemonade, garnish with a slice of orange.
Preparation: half fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour over whisky, Cherrygood, lime juice and sugar syrup. Shake to mix and chill. Pour into a tumbler and add garnish.
The lemonade is optional, to make a longer drink in a taller glass (with ice).
Sugar syrup is easy to make, by dissolving sugar into water (50/50) and heating it. Even simpler is pouring boiling water onto sugar and stirring, but make sure it's cool before you use it.
