Noughtie Nightlife

Looking at other people having fun can also be fun

Listings

noughtienightlife.jpg Rather than go out clubbing yourself, you can look at photographs of other people clubbing. The vibrant images on display show people having fun in the last decade at legendary nights, such as Kash Point, Nag Nag Nag, Trash, Anti-Social, All You Can Eat, Durrr, Smash & Grab, Boombox, Circus and Caligula. Maybe the names of such nights are too obscure to know what they are, and you haven't been to these events. Well, you can see what they were all about thanks to a breadth of talented photographers documenting the trends and fashion of London nightlife.

After viewing the unique photography, you can listen to a couple of guest speakers in association with PY MCA (Photographic Youth Music Culture Archive). They might tell you what you should be wearing and where you should be having fun.

Noughtie Nightlife is open to the public from 9 September – 2 October 2010 at Rich mix, Bethnal Green. Entry is FREE!
