Freeriding challenge
We've covered freerunning, drinking for free, and getting a meal for free... But now it's time for some freeriding!
The Nissan QASHQAI Challenge 2008 hits the Tate Modern (outside, don't panic) on Saturday 24th May. After several heats across Europe, the finals promise to be breathtaking... and maybe even bone-crunching, eek.
Riders will face various forms of manmade terrain and structures to perform a range of unbelievably extreme stunts. We've been told they'll be taking on drops of up to 30 feet, just like their freerunning rivals, but amazingly – on bikes!
Thousands of spectators are expected to attend the grand final in London and will also be witness to an incredible street art exhibition featuring work from some of the world's best street artists.
So head here if you want to check out one of the most progressive disciplines of today, and see how and why biking has moved form the woodlands to our front doors.
