London Bossa Nova Festival 2008
Bossa Brazil and The Brazilian Tourist Board are bringing Bossa Nova back, yeah!
If you travelled back 50 years to a flawless golden beach somewhere in Brazil, then you'd find yourself surrounded by a cocktail of Samba and Jazz, caiprinha in hand, listening to the very first beats of the Bossa Nova revolution.
Lucky, lucky you.
However, 50 years later,
across the Atlantic Ocean, it's a movement not forgotten. A genre as unique and creative as it ever was. From the instantly stirring Girl From Ipanema to the talents of Bebel Gilberto and Gilles Peterson; the music lives on...Lives on at the South Bank, on the 6th July (to check changes see www.bossa-brazil.com)
