Vauxhall UK Beatbox finals 2008
Pffft ccht, pffft chht chht. Ok, so we at Itchy can't beatbox very w-w-w-well. Good job we didn't enter the Vauxhall UK Beatbox Championships 2008 really isn't it? Now that would have been embarrassing (slightly funny).
Still, we're definitely going to check out the finals held at London's Islington Carling Academy on June 13th. Who knows we might even possibly brush up on our s-s-skils pffft zzzrp – ok we'll stop now.
It's an event worth attending if you're amazed by the best music-producing, human-percussion machines that the UK can offer... and generally some seriously talented and diverse performers.
Vauxhall have searched the length and breadth of the country to find Britian's most talented beatboxers. Heats took place in London, Leeds, Nottingham and Bristol, in which only eight greats were selected.
These eight will now battle it out 8 mile stylee infront of reigning champion Beardyman who is also joined by two legends of the vocal field – Beatboxing royalty Killa Kela and Shlomo. All of whom will be performing on the night.

and compare extraordinaire; Stig of the Dump, will be joining the trio onstage hosting the champs, sending the crowds into overdrive. The winners of the nights frolics will win a new Corsa SXi worth £12,400. Think we might have to make ourselves some seriously cool friends down there.Whether you're into your stage warfare or not (and we can't see a reason why you wouldn't be) the final promises to be one hell of a night with talent literally bursting out of these eight greats.
