One of the problems with shopping is the unforgivably predictable (and terrible) music that seems to be on tinny repeat in every single shop in the world. So it's rather good to hear that Merc have set up a number of small, intimate gigs throughout the summer at their store on Carnaby Street.

The fortnightly, free music sessions take place every other Friday at 6pm, between 19th June and 25th September. To celebrate this aurally pleasing news we're giving you the chance to spend £100 on Merc merchandise (or Merc Merc as it could be called) during the Mean Poppa Lean gig on July 31st. Better still, if you can't make it down to the gig itself, you can spend the money online instead.
